13 month BSHS program- acceptance requirements

In order to be accepted into the accelerated 13 month undergraduate degree program, a student needs to—*Have already spent a year of study, post high school, in Yeshiva or Seminary, and accumulated, at least, 30-40 credits
*Have a minimum of a high B average in high school and post high school Seminary or Yeshiva
*Is able to write proper English
*Understands the commitment of time required, daily and weekly. This is an intense program. The students may be at Seminary or Yeshiva in the morning and need to allocate many hours each afternoon or evening to their college courses
*Understands that being part of the accelerated program may limit the hours they are able to work each day
*Understands that in order to complete the required courses in 13 months, there will be limited vacations and breaks; in fact, just vacations around the Jewish holidays
*Understands that they can not skip a course or skip a semester
*The students must maintain a B+ average, and a minimum of a B in each course, to be allowed to remain in the accelerated program. If a student receives less than a B in any course, the student agrees, without a second chance, to transfer into the 19 month regular program; which will delay her graduation
*The students must understand that completing their degree in 13 months will limit their federal grant and loan amounts; there are maximum grant and loan amounts awarded in a 13 month period of time. That means, the out of pocket cost will be greater than in the 19 month program
*Registration and Financial Aid applications must be completed in early August
*All transcripts (high school, Seminary, Yeshiva, previous college, etc.) must be received by YIEP by early August

*After these 13 months, the students should have accumulated their 70 credits of Judaica transfer credits and their 45 University credits. The student will still need their 12-15 core credits of English (composition 1 and 2), Math and Science, and Public Speaking which they will need to complete on their own, anytime between now and when they want to graduate. The YIEP will guide them as to their options. Please see
